My P90X and Insanity Transformation!

As you all may know, I have finally finished P90X and my results are out there for everyone to see! I am going to tell my story about how and why I’ve decided to do P90X and how it has changed my life!

Before I met Coach Josh, my fiance, I used to eat really bad and let me tell you, really bad can’t even describe exactly what I was putting into my body. I found out I was pregnant in the summer of 2008 and I figured I was eating for two, so I ate double the amount of crappy food. At first I didn’t gain a lot of weight, but within the last couple of months of my pregnancy my body expanded like a balloon filling up with air!

After I had Madison, I was still hanging on to a lot of the baby weight. Some people go back to normal, but not me, though, which is my own fault since I ate so horribly. After I went to my 6 week checkup and found out I was still hanging on to 35 lbs of fat I decided I didn’t want to live my life being over weight and not confident. Josh came to me and said I should try out P90X and that he would be there to support me the whole way through it. He also let me know my diet had to change. No more french fries or greasy pizzas!

My first week of P90X was tough, but with the support of him and my eagerness to get back into shape I stuck with it. Trust me, there were days I didn’t want to get off the couch because my body was so sore! Each week got a little easier as my body adjusted and I was excited to continue with the program. It was crazy seeing my body go back to normal and my old clothes starting to fit again! Phase 1 was complete before I even new it. Then Phase 2 and Phase 3. I decided to do another round of P90X and realized I needed to really commit myself to get the results I wanted. During this round, my diet was perfect and I pushed myself harder this time, not to mention I decided to add in some Insanity. Insanity was tough, but let me tell you my body seemed to adjust very well to it!

So now that I’ve completed 2 Rounds of P90X and 1 round of Insanity, I am definitely in the best shape of my life. I lost all of the baby weight and gained some muscle, not manly muscle, but the muscle I have always wanted, but never knew how to get. Thanks to my determination and my excellent coach and fiance Josh Spencer, I am now confident again!

I will be doing more P90X and Insanity, but I will also be doing some Turbo Fire!     I loved your story! I am also hanging onto about 35lbs of baby fat (from two years ago). I eat horribly, don’t excercise, and I have the P90X dvd’s but I can’t seem to find the motivation to “just press play”. If there is any advice you could give me, I would really appreciate it! Also, I borrowed the P90X from a friends who ordered it but never used it but she dosen’t have the literature to go with it so I do not really know how I’m supposed to eat while working out. Once again, I loved your story and look forward to hearing from you! Mary

    Thanks so much for commenting Mary! You have to make the choice of changing the way you are and stick with it. It was crazy for me one day I said I had enough feeling the way I feel and it’s time to do something about it. So clean out the junk from your cupboards, fill them up with healthy foods, and start doing the workouts!! Sounds simple, but the thing is only you can make this choice and until you truly are ready you won’t ever do this! If you’d like you can make me your coach for FREE and I can help you along the way!     I started P90x on the First of Feb. I weighed 273 and 6 feet tall female. I want to lose 100 pounds. I am going to stick with P90x and do what is needed of me. I read all the good reviews online and one day, I won’t to post one to encourage people

    Your story is just what my girl friend needs to motivate her. we have an 18 month old daughter and she still has some babyfat on her, about like your before picturee. Nice results. :)

    My story is a bit different than yours. I am overwheight. And I’m 18 about to enter college. I have been struggling with maintaining my weight since high school started. I have started the basic work outs. But I really want to try this p90x out. I’m still living at home with my parents which only makes it harder because they aren’t commited like I am. I find it hard to eat healthy when there’s so much unhealthy food at home. Please give me some advice. Thank you :)

    Hey Francesca,
    Have you tried talking to your parents about how you want to try and become healthier? I know it’s probably not the easiest thing to talk about, but if they are willing to listen it’s worth a shot. Now if you get the program it gives you a meal plan and nutrition guide if you happen to have a job and are able to buy some of the foods that are in this it will make things easier for you :) Maybe you could make dinner one night and bake chicken in the oven and make a healthy side dish :) I have so many healthy recipes you could try out and have them try.

    Hey, wow you look amazing let me start off by saying that..congratulations! I really want to lose and tone my body in certain areas but i am not overweight i just dont know how to go about it..i guess im asking about what you did after you lost the weight to get your amazing shape? The areas i really wanna she change in are my legs and stomach so i guess what recommendations do you have for that? I have P90x and i am offically starting it today but i dont wanna gain any muscle i just wanna lose about 20-25 pounds of fat and tone up a lil bit….i have been reading a lot about P90x and what i keep reading is that phase 1 is the fat burning stage …do you think i should just do that stage for a couple of months to get myself to lose that weight and look good? sorry i just dont know how to go about it..any advice would be great thank you soo much…and again CONGRATS!!! You look amazing!!

    Thanks so much!! Definitely go with Phase 1 and do that for 3 months. Also do the Classic version to get the results you are looking for. P90X is definitely the program that you want to use to lose the weight and tone up. Have you looked into Shakeology? I started using it my 2nd month into P90X and it helped me lose 25 pounds!
